yummy salad!

This salad is super yummy! I thinly sliced cabbage and added it to a bowl with chopped tomato, red pepper, romaine lettuce and sprouts!  I made a dressing with 1 avocado, sesame oil and bragg's liquid aminos (pureed it in a blender)

I thought this would be a nice picture to blog! It was a yummy recipe in my 80/10/10 book (D. Graham) of romaine lettuce, oranges and walnuts! I modified it a bit...

In a bowl, I mashed some cuties (oranges) and walnuts together. On a plate I put chopped romaine lettuce and drizzled some really nice orange olive oil and then topped with the orange/walnut mixture! Yumm-o!

march 1

I'm not going to do a "day 1." etc post anymore because it's too hard for me to keep up! I have had a breakthrough though....after two colon hydrotherapy treatments I am ready to dive into my health! We used up everything in the fridge so when I did my weekly shopping this week it consisted of mostly raw and fresh veggies!!! Tonight's dinner was quinoa and stirfry. I am going to make a yummy banana, flax, almond smoothie later for a treat! I made one this morning and it was sooooo good! I bought some grapes too and I will freeze some for my sweet tooth this week!

Choices

So.....not as good with my expectations but I did refrain from caving into temptations! Today I had a smoothie for bkfst, chicken ceaser salad for lunch, salad with bell pepper, cuke and avocado and a bowl of lentil soup. I was starving later and ate a pb&j sandwich, bowl of raisin bran with almond milk and a pom greek yogurt. I am blaming the nursing for my extra appetite! I was down to 184 yesterday...let's see if I can keep losing!

Re-Do Day 1

OK - it's MONDAY!!!! I got up early to finish a hair bow for Eva Mae's outfit today and since I haven't put anything in my body yet I decided to blog my goals!!!! A friend of mine put on Facebook that she wanted to be 100% raw for one day yesterday. That's a really good goal for me too..but I am going to cook dinner!!! So, today I am going to plan my meals and here's what's going to happen!!!

Breakfast - banana smoothie
Lunch - Mango (whole) Avocado salad (avocado, lettuce, cucumber)
Snack - Celery Sticks
Dinner - Brussel Sprouts and Fish

And I want to drink LOTS AND LOTS of WATER!!!

My fitness for today is going to be the Pilates Yoga that my mom is letting me borrow! Let's see if I can do it! :)

Day 1 - Jan 26

My goals for the day:
Drink only water!!!

I tried giving up all other drinks at the beginning of the month but it didn't even last a day!!!! Today is the day! I've already passed on the morning coffee.....my most difficult temptation. We have a birthday dinner for Nick tonight and I am going to stick to just water. Also, I will need to have a bottle handy for the movie if I eat popcorn. I would like to say that I am not going to eat any popcorn but I don't know if that is doable.....wait....yes....I....can!!!

I will commit to NO POPCORN at the theater tonight!!! whew!!! That is hard to say because I really want to stick with whatever I commit to do!! Popcorn is such a vice for me! (As are chips...also available at the theater!)

I know from experience that I'll need a substitute. Fortunately I have some almonds in the pantry. I will pack those for the movie tonight!

So far for breakfast I've had half of a greek yogurt (Christian helped me) and some scrambled eggs. I'm about to go fix a green superfood drink (since it is basically all veggies and vitamins it won't count against my "only water" goal!) :)
